As hard as it may be to believe following much of the drama surrounding him in late 2022, Andrade El Idolo is still contracted to All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
Despite seemingly attempting to get out of the company, Andrade is still an active roster member, however has not been seen on AEW TV since All Out on September 4.
Andrade would be suspended in October following a backstage altercation with Sammy Guevara at the October 5 AEW Dynamite.
Following this he would later reveal in November he had sustained a torn pectoral, and thusly would require surgery which has kept him off TV ever since.
While he may not be active on AEW TV, he has at least been active on social media, recently posting a message of support to his wife, the current WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair.
Andrade tweeted:
“I’m proud of you wife!!! @MsCharlotteWWE
I know how hard you work and every day you wake up hungry to be the best.
This week is a great day for you of many days to come in your life. I love you very much as on bad days as on good days. Róbate el show #mami”
Accompanying the post was a picture of Andrade and Charlotte from in WWE in 2020 when they were the United States and NXT Women’s Champions respectively.
While this could be an innocent post, perhaps this an indicator that Andrade wants a move back to WWE, a topic that Charlotte herself has discussed recently.
