AEW Announces Tag Match For Next Week’s Dynamite

Today, AEW has announced a tag team match between Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara versus Hangman Page and Dustin Rhodes.  Based on this past Wednesday’s show, it would be smart to expect lots of interference from The Elite and Jericho’s new set of friends.

On Wednesday, Jericho, Geuvara, Santana, Ortiz and Jake Hager took out Cody, Dustin, and The Young Bucks.  Rumors are Jericho and friends may become a permanent stable to do battle with The Elite moving forward.

Cody did a fantastic job of making Sammy Guevara look like a major up and coming star on Wednesday night.  While Hangman Page and Pac’s match was fine, it didn’t meet the standard set by their match at WrestleGate earlier.

AEW has some work to do to make Page look like the star they seem to want him to be.  If he is able to pick a pinfall in this match it would be a start to establish him as a major player.

Cody is facing Jericho at Full Gear for the AEW World Championship.  It looks like The Young Bucks will be battling Santana and Ortiz.

That leaves Hager and Guevara without someone to battle.  To me, it would make sense to pair Guevara with Hangman Page and Hager with Dustin Rhodes.

This would give Hangman and Hager a chance to pick up a win on the first pay-per-view of the AEW Television Era.
