AEW Battle of the Belts V is only just in the bag, but that doesn’t mean we have long to wait for the next instalment of the event.
As previously reported, AEW Battle of the Belts V took place on January 6 2023 from the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Oregon, airing directly after that evening’s AEW Rampage.
With four matches on the card for four championships, the earth-shattering, storyline driving total of no belts changed hands.
It could be said that no belts changing hands on a belt-themed event is just as much of a surprise as one, two, three or four belts changing hands, of course.
Now, AEW has announced that we can expect the sixth instalment of the series on Friday, April 7 from the Ryan Centre at The University of Rhode Island.
This marks AEW’s Rhode Island debut.
It will, once again, take place on the same day as AEW Rampage with tickets going on sale this Friday, January 13.
#AEW makes its Rhode Island debut on Friday, April 7th at @TheRyanCenter in Kingston, RI with a LIVE #AEWRampage & #AEWBOTB6!
