An update has emerged on former AEW TNT Champion Scorpio Sky, following the recent announcement of his injury.
While Sky was initially set to face off against Kip Sabian on Friday’s (July 28) edition of Rampage, this bout was changed ahead of the show.
At Wednesday’s taping, Tony Khan announced that Komander would be replacing Sky in this bout, with Sky injured and unable to compete.
Per Sean Ross Sapp during a Fightful Select Q&A session, Sky was spotted on crutches at the taping.
Noting that Sky had a ‘freak accident’, Sapp noted:
“A freak accident is what I’ve been told.
“Just an absolute freak accident and nobody knows how long he’ll be out. He was on crutches at the show.”
Sapp noted that it’s currently unclear when Sky will be able to make a return to the ring.
We wish Sky a safe and healthy recovery.
