AEW Star Reveals Retirement Plans

AEW Star Reveals Retirement Plans AEW

Matt Hardy has spoken about his plans for when he retires from in-ring competition along with his hopes to still be involved in AEW.

Although Hardy wouldn’t set a retirement date or timeline, he does see his a coaching role in his post-wrestling future.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Hardy revealed what he currently loves to be doing, saying:

“I do love these projects, the project, the book my life did, we have another book already that’s gonna be coming out shortly.

“It’s stuff I can put on the back burner and I can kind of work on a little bit while I focus on my priority, which is obviously pro wrestling right now.

“There’s several things I can do to transition over.”

He would then go on to discuss his future ambitions when he’s no longer a full-time wrestler, adding:

“Whenever I decide to stop wrestling in-ring, when I physically stop, I definitely want to be behind the scenes. There’s so many great kids at AEW.

Mark [Henry] is a shining example of someone who helps the youth so much.

“I am there, I want to help the youth, and I think we’re really good with this next generation.”

In a recent interview, Matt Hardy discussed what’s left in AEW for him and his brother, Jeff, to achieve.

Hardy has recently addressed issues he has with Jim Cornette following a heated exchange on Twitter.

Details of the exchange, in which Hardy lambasts the “toxic Cornette cult”, can be found here.
