Earlier Kevin Kelly was removed from the AEW roster page and now fans report that he is also absent from tonight’s AEW Collision taping.
Tonight there was a Collision taping (for the show set to air on Saturday night) which would typically feature Kevin Kelly, Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness on the call.
However it was noted that at tonight’s taping, the booth consisted of only Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuiness.
The development comes after earlier in the day it was noted that Kelly was removed from the AEW roster page.
It is worth mentioning that Yuka Sakazaki was also recently removed from the roster page, though that ended up simply being a website glitch and she was added back shortly after.
More recently though, Mike Santana was removed from the roster page and that was a legitimate indicator of his departure.
Also, Kelly recently made comments on social media about his position in AEW which caused some controversy.
It wouldn’t be a complete shock for Kelly to be absent from a taping as it has happened in the past, so this isn’t 100% official confirmation of his departure yet, but for it to happen on the same day he was removed from the roster page appears to be a sign.
We will keep you updated with any further updates regarding the matter as details become available.
