AEW Star Pitches Singles Match Against Kota Ibushi

A former TNT Champion has pitched for a singles match against former NJPW star Kota Ibushi, following the announcement of Ibushi’s AEW debut.

In the closing moments of the July 12 edition of Dynamite, it was revealed that Kota Ibushi will team with the Elite to face off against the Blackpool Combat Club in next week’s Blood & Guts match.

While many are looking forward to the reunion of the ‘Golden Lovers’ Ibushi and Kenny Omega, some fans have speculated about Ibushi’s possible AEW future beyond Blood & Guts.

Sammy Guevara has now taken to Twitter to indicate that he’s interested in going one-on-one with the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion.

Appearing to issue a challenge to Ibushi, he tweeted:

Ibushi had long been expected to join AEW, having made it clear that Tony Khan’s company was a top priority for the former NJPW star.

Following Dynamite, Ibushi has now reacted to the AEW announcement.
