A top AEW star has shown off the nasty would that they received at AEW Dynamite in a championship match on February 1.
On the February 1 episode of AEW Dynamite, Darby Allin defended his TNT Championship against Samoa Joe.
In a match that has been described as “brutal”, Joe and Allin brought tables, chairs and a thumbtack sweatshirt into play, among other things.
Samoa Joe would go on to win the TNT Champion, though also suffered a nasty cut above the eye during the bout itself.
He shared a photo of the stiched-up injury on his social media:

This victory marks the start of Samoa Joe’s second reign as AEW TNT Champion.
It brought to an end Allin’s second reign as AEW TNT Champion after 28 days.
Allin’s first reign started after defeating Cody Rhodes at AEW Full Gear in November 2020 and ran for 186 days.
Samoa Joe previously held the championship in November 2022, having defeated the previous champion Wardlow in a three-way match that also featured Powerhouse Hobbs.
Wardlow made his return to AEW television after the TNT Championship match on AEW Dynamite, setting his sights on the new TNT Champion.
