UPDATE: Following his CM Punk post, Ricky Starks has stated that his Instagram account was hacked, which you can read more about at this link.
A popular AEW star has given CM Punk his “flowers.”
On September 2, AEW and Tony Khan announced that they had terminated the contracts of CM Punk with cause.
Punk’s termination came following the investigation into the backstage incident at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium.
Prior to his departure, Punk was scheduled to complete his feud with Ricky Starks at AEW All Out in Chicago. Starks went on to face Bryan Danielson in a well-received strap match on the pay-per-view.
On September 11, Ricky Starks took to his Instagram story to post a photo of himself with Punk shaking hands to give his flowers to the former AEW World Champion. He wrote:
“public flowers for you man @cmpunk Thank you”
On the September 9 edition of AEW Collision, Starks continued his rivalry with Danielson by laying him and his fellow Blackpool Combat Club member Jon Moxley alongside Big Bill.
