WWE/AEW
A former AEW star has reportedly officially signed with WWE following his recent contract expiration and departure.
Powerhouse Hobbs had been a presence in AEW since 2020, recently closing out his time with the company, with his last match airing on the January 17 episode of Collision.
Following rumors about interest from WWE, it was previously reported that he was believed to be signing a deal with the company.
An update has recently emerged, clarifying the status of Hobbs and a potential WWE contract.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Powerhouse Hobbs is officially under contract with WWE.
Confirming that he has officially put pen to paper, Sapp wrote:
No longer “believed.” Powerhouse Hobbs is signed by WWE.
A former TNT Champion, Hobbs also held the AEW World Trios Championship as a member of The Opps, with Samoa Joe and Katsuyori Shibata, losing the title in his final match.
We will continue to provide updates on Powerhouse Hobbs in WWE as they become available.
