AEW
If you’ve been wondering where AEW star Angelico has been lately, he just explained his absence from the ring via Twitter.
Taking to Twitter to post an impressive video of him walking on a balance beam, Angelico has announced that at the end of 2021, he suffered a torn ACL but as you can see, rehab is going well.
Writing alongside the risky video, Angelico said:
“Official Announcement: Unfortunately the bad news is I can confirm the rumors. I suffered a torn ACL and meniscus at the end of 2021. The good news as you can see below, is that my recovery is well ahead of schedule and my return to the ring is just around the corner!”
Angelico is currently signed to AEW but has not wrestled for the promotion since the December 3 episode of AEW Dark, where he defeated Invictus Khash.
Angelico was one of the original signings made by AEW, with many of the originally contracted talents to AEW making announcements regarding their future most notably, Cody Rhodes.
The injury Jake Atlas suffered on Rampage against Adam Cole was actually also a torn ACL. You can keep track of all AEW injury updates at this link.
