AEW has announced another partner to bring quality professional wrestling to American audiences.
DDT Pro Wrestling is the next promotion to announce a working partnership with AEW which will see them sharing talent, bringing in wrestlers from the Japan-based DDT Pro Wrestling to work in America at AEW shows.
Taking to DDT’s english language Twitter page to make the announcement, VP of Talent Relations, Christopher Daniels, said:
“I’d like to say congratulations to DDT for their 25th anniversary, and I’d like to also announce that AEW and DDT have come to an agreement to bring DDT’s wrestlers to the United States of America. And I for one am looking forward to introducing the top talent from DDT to the American wrestling fan base.”
DDT Pro Wrestling may be familiar to AEW fans as the promotion Kenny Omega had so many infamous moments in during his time wrestling in Japan including the Golden Lovers tag team with Kota Ibushi and wrestling a nine-year old girl, Haruka.
With Tony Khan and his All Elite Wrestling continuing to form partnerships (or complete outright acquisitions) with other wrestling promotions, we might need to just coin a new term for the ‘Forbidden Door’ as now, it barely seems to apply!
