Earlier today, Tony Khan took to Twitter to announce that former ROH and WWE star Nigel McGuinness was officially All Elite following his return to ROH at Supercard of Honor.
However, McGuinness isn’t the only former WWE name to be hired by AEW today, as AEW has made a big backstage hire, per PWInsider.
AEW has hired former WWE Vice President of Communications Adam Hopkins.
While his official title is not yet known, Hopkins spent many years working in WWE’s PR department, so that would likely be the area of the company he joins.
Many sources confirmed that Hopkins started at last Wednesday’s Dynamite show in St. Louis, so he is already on the road for AEW.
Hopkins was one of WWE’s longest tenured employees, with him initially joining their ‘Fans Services’ department back in September 1997.
Hopkins worked for WWE for over 25 years when he left the company earlier this year.
Many WWE stars reacted to his departure when he left, praising Hopkins for his work.
