Austin Theory On Biggest Takeaway From Working With Vince McMahon In WWE

Austin Theory has spoken about working with Vince McMahon, revealing his biggest takeaway from his new relationship with the WWE Chairman.

After it was revealed that Austin Theory was the one who stole McMahon’s gold egg at Survivor Series, McMahon took Theory under his wing as an on-screen protégé. Theory and McMahon now appear together in segments each week on WWE Raw.

Speaking with Mirror UK, Theory recalled the storyline reason for his newfound relationship with the boss. Noting that McMahon has taught him to adapt to change, Theory said:

“So I think those ideas came around because I stole a hundred million dollar egg. These lessons that Vince is teaching me, I don’t think he would have taught me in this way if I didn’t do what I did. I think everything happens for a reason.

“I’m not telling anyone to steal a hundred million dollar egg or even a million dollar egg, but somehow it worked out for me. I’m getting a lot of knowledge and the biggest takeaway from Mr. McMahon is to expect the unexpected.”

In a previous interview on the  After The Bell podcast, Theory recalled how it felt to get slapped by McMahon, noting:

“When you think wrestling, and you think wrestling God, it’s Vince McMahon. I think when I’m sitting there and I’m talking with him, it’s like, wow, it doesn’t get bigger than this. And already. So I’m just like… I don’t know.

“Even when I – I probably watched the video of getting slapped like 100 times – I would just say, don’t upset Vince McMahon, because, yo, he’s got some hands man.”
