The backstage reaction to the announcement that Triple H will resume his position as EVP of Talent Relations has been revealed.
On Friday (July 22) WWE shared a statement confirming that Triple H is ‘back’ and will be resuming the position effective immediately.
Fightful Select (subscription required) has spoken to some talent about Triple H’s ‘return’. It was noted that all of the names contacted said that they got along well with the Game.
The report stated that a top star questioned why Triple H was ever removed from this position to start with. Another argued that Triple H will likely have to adapt to WWE’s new recruitment style and NXT 2.0, rather than reinstating his ‘Black & Gold’ vision for the brand.
Another longtime talent reportedly praised Triple H for being approachable, noting that he understands what stars go through.
Triple H returned to WWE full-time in April, after taking time away from the company due to a serious cardiac event in September 2021.
Following WWE’s announcement, reports have indicated that former Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis is ‘effectively done’ with the company.
