NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has addressed the arrival of former AEW star Jade Cargill to the WWE women’s roster.
After weeks of speculation Cargill’s move to WWE was made official on Tuesday (September 26), with Chief Content Officer Triple H among the first within the company to welcome the former TBS Champion aboard.
WWE Grand Slam winner Becky Lynch has achieved near-enough everything within the company over the last decade, and in a recent interview with the New York Post’s Joseph Stazewski, addressed the arrival of the women’s division’s next superstar.
Lynch spoke highly of Cargill’s potential, but also argued that she still has a lot of work to do in WWE.
Looking forward to meeting Cargill in the ring, Lynch said:
“I watch all the products. I think it’s great. More women with more platforms.
“I think she has a lot of work to do when she gets here, but if she is willing to do that, just look at her. She’s a star.
“It’s more people for me to get in the ring with and kick their asses.”
Cargill has shared an interesting pitch for a match against Bianca Belair, which you can read more about right here.
Lynch wasn’t the only member of the four horsewomen to address Cargill’s arrival in WWE,with SmackDown star Bayley exchanging words with the former AEW TBS Champion online.
