Banks returned to Raw on August 12 after being absent since WrestleMania, attacking Natalya who Becky had beaten at SummerSlam the previous night.
The ‘Boss’ would go on to say that she knew by attacking Natalya she’d be able to goad Becky into an altercation, and the two brawled at ringside last week.
This week, Becky challenged Sasha to a fight, but the latter turned it round by saying that she’d rather wait until Clash of Champions for the Raw Women’s Title. And just like that, it was official.
The current card for Clash of Champions is as follows:
- Seth Rollins (c) vs. Braun Strowman – WWE Universal Championship
- Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Randy Orton – WWE Championship
- Becky Lynch (c) vs. Sasha Banks – WWE Raw Women’s Championship
- Seth Rollins & Braun Strowman (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode – WWE Raw Tag Team Championships
- Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. The Miz – WWE Intercontinental Championship
- Big E & Xavier Woods (c) vs. The Revival – WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships
- Bayley (c) vs. Charlotte Flair – WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship
- King of the Ring final
- Drew Gulak (c) vs. Humberto Carrillo – WWE Cruiserweight Championship
