Big E has opened u about his transition out of the WWE Raw main event scene, and his reunion with The New Day on SmackDown.
At WWE Day 1, Big E dropped the WWE Championship to Brock Lesnar, who had only been added to the match earlier in the day. Big E returned to SmackDown soon after, and began teaming with Kofi Kingston again, as Vince McMahon reportedly missed their act.
Speaking with Alex McCarthy of TalkSPORT, Big E explained that he chooses to focus on controlling what he can.
Pointing out that he now has the option to pursue the Universal Championship, Big E said:
“My focus has been on controlling what I can. We’ve had several interviews and I’m sure I’ve already talked your ears off about meditation and how much that has helped me.
“But, that’s my job. I focus on being the performer and do the very best with what I’m given, that’s my focus.
“But, I don’t want any of that to be perceived as me taking away from being with Kofi and Woods. That’s my greatest delight. For me, it was a transition I will say I did not expect at this time in my career.
The WWE Championship has changed hands three times this year already, most recently at WWE Elimination Chamber. Stay up to date with every WWE title change of 2022 at this link.
