Since being called up from NXT, Matt Riddle has been the target of attacks of King Corbin. Tonight on SmackDown, was no different. Chad Gable would try to cash in on the King’s Ransom.
Riddle beat Gable in a quick match that lasted about two minutes. Gable answered Riddle’s challenge to Corbin.
After the match, Corbin attacks Riddle. Riddle reverses the attack and gets the upper hand.
Later, Corbin is talking with Kayla backstage and announces he is going to teach Riddle a lesson at Payback. The match is official. It’s King Corbin vs. Matt Riddle now on Sunday.
