Big Title Match Added To Tonight’s SmackDown

We could be seeing a title change on tonight’s episode of SmackDown after a championship match was added to the show.

Big E will be defending his Intercontinental Championship against not just Apollo Crews, but against former champion Sami Zayn as well.

The WWE.com preview reads:

“The turbulent Intercontinental Championship picture will be intensified tonight when Big E is challenged by both Apollo Crews & Sami Zayn in a Triple Threat Match.

“In his rematch against The Powerhouse of Positivity two weeks ago, Crews showed a new level of aggression and a determination to win at any cost (perhaps fueled by a conversation with Universal Champion Roman Romans earlier in the night.) Disgruntled former champion Sami Zayn made sure a clear winner could not be determined, though, with a pair of earth-shattering Helluva Kicks for his two rivals.”

Big E had a great showing in the Royal Rumble match before being eliminated by Omos from outside the ring. He had been the betting favourite to win the match for some time ahead of the match, but it seems WWE has different plans for him for now.
