Top Name Addresses Criticism That He Was ‘Jobbed Out’ By GUNTHER WWE

WWE Hall of Famer and NXT commentator Booker T has explained why he was okay to get ‘jobbed out’ by GUNTHER at Royal Rumble 2023.

Booker T made his WWE in-ring return in the Royal Rumble match that opened the show, making his surprise entrance in the #21 spot.

The former World Champion’s comeback was short-lived, with GUNTHER eliminating Booker T just 42 seconds after stepping into the ring.

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T praised GUNTHER, stating that he expects the current Intercontinental Champion to become a major star.

Explaining that he’d rather lose to GUNTHER than have the roles reversed, Booker T said:

“GUNTHER did an awesome job making history. That guy’s gonna be a major, major player here for WWE for a long time and it was my honor to do the favor for him and I’ve seen people, stupid people saying, ‘Booker got jobbed out.’

“Let me just say this, Booker got jobbed out by GUNTHER and I wanna say this publicly just so everybody can hear it.

“I’d rather be jobbed out by GUNTHER than GUNTHER be jobbed out by me any day of the week.”

The NXT commentator has revealed that he only received the call to compete in the Royal Rumble match during the Kickoff show for the event.
