Booker T ‘You Don’t Have To Know How To Wrestle, Just Act Like You Do’

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has become something of a lightning rod for his comments this year. Now, it seems he has dropped a rather interesting quote.

While speaking with Chris Van Vliet, Booker T revealed that he tells his students that you do not have to know how to actually wrestle. He said you just have to act like you do. Definitely an interesting quote to come from a wrestling trainer. Here is the quote, courtesy of Wrestle Zone:

“I talk to my students about wrestling, [and] I say, ‘You don’t have to actually know how to wrestle, you just have to act like you know very, very well. You know, just say for instance you’re a guy coming to a hospital lobby, and you got a white coat and a stethoscope around your neck. And you’re clean-cut, and somebody may ask you for your help. But you’re just going to a costume party next door. You know, I say if you look the role and play the role, somebody will look at you as the role.”

Booker T has been serving as a member of the WWE pre-show panel and commentary team since returning to the promotion in 2011.
