This past weekend has not been a lucky period for professional wrestlers. Ruby Riott injured her left knee on a house show and Bray Wyatt, the ‘Eater of Worlds’, was involved in a head-on collision whilst en-route to an airport in Tampa, Florida.
The accident left Wyatt’s car totaled and caused him to be hospitalized at the Tampa General Hospital. Needless to say, he was pulled from Raw on Monday with a major Raw Tag Team Championship defense against The B-Team due at Extreme Rules.
With the extent of his injuries unclear, one half of the Raw Tag Team Champions spoke to TMZ to clarify the situation stating that he was “in good spirits” and “moving around.” It was his final comment though that caused many to scratch their heads in bemusement.
As the interview came to an end, the man born Windham Rotunda stated that “I’m gonna live through it because I can’t die.” Whether this was brought on by concussion or Wyatt was doing a commendable job of protecting kayfabe remains to be seen.
WrestleTalk wishes Bray Wyatt a speedy recovery and we will keep you up-to-date should any more news surrounding his accident become available.
