The opening match of tonight’s AEW Dynamite, brought to you by Game of Thrones House of the Dragon, saw the American Dragon Bryan Danielson take on the Dragon Slayer Daniel Garcia in a two out of three falls match.
The match is the rubber match in the series between Bryan and Garcia, with Garcia scoring the shocking victory over Danielson back at Fight for the Fallen. The match saw another Dragon, Ricky Steamboat, serve as the special guest timekeeper.
Garcia took the early 1-0 lead, when Bryan passed out in the ‘Dragon Tamer’ submission hold, before he later tied up the score.
After a brutal half an hour, and both men shedding blood, Bryan scored the third and decisive fall when Garcia passed out to the LeBell Lock.
After the match, Danielson offered a handshake to Garcia, before Chris Jericho jumped Danielson from behind. Garcia then pulled Jericho off of Bryan and the two got in each other’s face.
