Brie Garcia (fka Brie Bella) has provided an update on AEW star Bryan Danielson, following an injury scare at AEW Dynasty 2024.
During the April 21 pay-per-view, Danielson faced off against Will Ospreay in a match which many fans have called an instant classic.
Ospreay dropped Danielson with a high-angle Tiger Driver in the closing moments of the match, before ending the bout with his Hidden Blade elbow strike.
With medical personnel attending to Danielson following the bout, fans showed concern about Danielson potentially suffering legitimate injury.
While Fightful Select previously reported that the incident was a planned part of the show, his wife Brie Garcia has now indicated that he’s genuinely banged up following the match.
Addressing the bout on the Nikki & Brie show, Brie said:
“He (Bryan Danielson) walked away healthy from the match. I shouldn’t say healthy, he did hurt himself. I think everyone knows, he did fall on his neck.
“He’s good. Not like anything where he is out of the ring and getting surgery. He landed on it a certain way.
“You wrestle hard and unfortunately, he’s going to be 43 on May 22nd, your body does things.”
Nikki Garcia (Bella) has now addressed a non-PG call-out made by a top AEW star, which you can read more about right here.
