Buddy Murphy has now released a teaser video, ahead of his non-compete clause expiring, and his return to the ring.
Murphy has previously confirmed that his WWE non-compete clause expires at the end of August. A new video shared by Murphy suggests that he’s ready to break out of “prison”.
The short clip features an inmate (Murphy) restlessly bouncing against a wall, with one security guard in the background. Teasing his return to wrestling, Murphy tweeted:

Fans have already pointed out similarities between this clip, and Malakai Black’s “inmate” short film. When Jon Moxley’s non-compete clause was up in 2019, Moxley shared a teaser of his own prison break. I’m sensing a theme here…
Murphy was released by WWE in June. He will face AEW star Brian Cage at Battleground Championship Wrestling on September 18. With over three weeks to go before Murphy is free, the former Cruiserweight Champion could share more teasers ahead of August 31.
