Carmelo Hayes Takes Out WWE Star In Off-Air Attack WWE

Following a busy night of action on this week’s NXT (February 6), Carmelo Hayes targeted an unknowing WWE star in an attack after the show went off the air.

After Melo’s actions at the conclusion of NXT Vengeance Day against his former partner Trick Williams, the former NXT Champion was in a triumphant mood – much to the displeasure of the NXT audience at the WWE Performance Center.

Opening the show with a textbook heel explanation of is actions on Sunday night, and concluding it by staking his own claim for the NXT Championship by attacking Ilja Dragunov – safe to say Melo didn’t have many misses on this night.

But it turns out Melo wasn’t even done once NXT had gone off the air, as footage uploaded to the WWE NXT Twitter account revealed that another member of the NXT roster was also blindsided by the 29-year-old.

The unwilling target was an oblivious Joe Gacy, who had come out to greet the crowd with a boxing glove on a stick – something that played a massive role in deciding the conclusion of the show’s main event match between Dragunov and Dijak just moments prior.

Clearly miffed by Gacy parading around, Melo jumped him from behind and sent him shoulder first into the barricade, something that obviously earned him nothing but more disdain from the live crowd.

Thankfully, as also seen at the conclusion of Gacy’s match with Dijak at Vengeance Day, the former Schism frontman was not perturbed by the attack; instead showing off an unsettling smile as he laid on the ground.

You can see the footage for yourself in the embedded tweet down below.
