Former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho has commented on his wrestling future following speculation about a possible retirement.
At Dynamite: Quake By The Lake, ‘Lionheart’ Chris Jericho unsuccessfully challenged for Jon Moxley’s interim AEW World Title. Some fans theorised that Jericho is preparing to hang up his boots for good, believing the Lionheart homage was Jericho preparing to play his greatest hits ahead of his retirement.
Speaking with Bleacher Report, Jericho noted that he doesn’t plan to step away from wrestling anytime soon, noting:
“No. It’s been such a great run with AEW and it’s really reinvigorated my love for the business. I still think I’m doing some of the best work of my career. I really do.”
On the August 17 edition of Dynamite, Jericho attempted to attack Bryan Danielson following his match against Daniel Garcia, but Garcia stopped him.
