Chris Jericho Says NXT Reject ‘Spy’ Leaked AEW Dynamite Spoilers

Chris Jericho said on his latest livestream that AEW personnel know who leaked recent Dynamite spoilers, and that it was an NXT reject “spy”.

You’ll probably remember reading about a spoiler from Reddit about Eric Bischoff being the guest moderator for the Jericho vs Orange Cassidy debate a couple of weeks ago, a show that aired a week after being taped.

Chris Jericho addressed this in his latest livestream, saying they know who leaked the spoiler and that person never be brought back to AEW:

“Social media is a different ball of wax, though. I think the amount of people who are on social media is very small compared to the overall people watching. For example, when we had the debate and Eric Bischoff was announced on Reddit — and we know the spy is, by the way. Oh, we know. He’ll never f**king be back in AEW. [An] NXT reject was a spy, so print that.

“I was like, listen, we can announce this or we can just not announce it and don’t worry about it and see, you know, the people that know will know and maybe they’ll watch if they weren’t going to. The people that don’t know, will still be surprised. That’s exactly what happened. People were super surprised that Bischoff was there and it worked out great.”

It’s hard to say that the leak didn’t actually end up working in AEW’s favour as that show drew its best viewership since March.

Either way, whoever it was is probably feeling a little bit silly for doing it now.
