Backstage Details On Explosive CM Punk, Drew McIntyre & Seth Rollins WWE Raw Segment

A new report has revealed backstage details of the explosive WWE Raw segment featuring CM Punk, Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins.

In what was one of CM Punk’s most fiery promos since his return in November, the Best in the World looked to rattle the WWE birdcage and retaliate to those that mentioned his name throughout his WWE absence, and one in particular that had not.

Addressing Roman Reigns, The Rock, Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre Punk made up for the time lost by trading barbs with the latter two ahead of their World Heavyweight Championship clash at WrestleMania 40.

Now, following the segment we now have some further behind-the-scenes details courtesy of Fightful Select.

Firstly, one of the burning question on many fans’ lips due to the off the cuff feeling of the exchanges between Punk, McIntyre and Rollins is whether the content was scripted or not.

Well, according to those within WWE, the segment was not scripted word for word, with Punk, Rollins and McIntyre being given a  “general outline”, with all three knowing that they would instead “go for it and see what happens”.

Interestingly, the line which saw Punk refer to his rivals as “dips**ts” reportedly caught WWE’s production off guard, with it being noted that WWE talent had been sent a memo discouraging them from cursing on WWE TV, something that has been a hot topic in the news recently.

The promo was listed for one segment, with Raw General Manager Adam Pearce the sole producer of it.

Despite the heated nature of the entire exchange between all three men, there has not been any word of any issues backstage following promos, with it being noted that all is seemingly continuing to be well with Punk specifically in this WWE run.

Following the promo, WWE cameras caught up with CM Punk backstage, where he further commented on The Rock, addressing a potential future feud between he and the Final Boss.
