Update On CM Punk Non-WWE Role WWE

CM Punk has now made his first commentary appearance for CFFC since returning to WWE last month.

According to his famous promo line, CM Punk is the best on the microphone, in the ring, and even at commentary.

During his time away from wrestling, Punk began to work for MMA promotion CFFC as a regular commentator.

While he continued on in this role with AEW, Punk’s WWE return made his CFFC future uncertain, as WWE is has stricter rules about projects away from the ring.

As it turns out, Punk can still call MMA fights, with Punk on commentary for Friday’s (December 15) CFFC 128 show.

Punk commented on his upcoming WWE in-ring return during the show, noting:

“Come out to the LA Kia Forum. Watch me beat up Dirty Dominik. I’ve been wanting to punch this kid in the face since he was 8 years old. Now he’s legal and I’m gonna destroy him.”

Punk is slated to face off against Dominik Mysterio at the December 26 house show at Madison Square Garden, and at the December 30 event in Inglewood, California.

These will be Punk’s first WWE matches in almost ten years, with Punk last wrestling for WWE in the 2014 Royal Rumble match.

CM Punk is now a member of the Raw roster, choosing to join the red brand on the December 11 show.
