The backstage relationship between CM Punk and Seth Rollins following Punk’s WWE return has been revealed.
When Punk was fired from AEW last year, there was speculation about whether or not he would return to WWE, with some of the company’s top stars having previously spoken out about him.
One of those names was Seth Rollins, who publicly called Punk a ‘cancer’ during a video game press event, and expressed real-life issues with him.
This culminated at Punk’s return segment at Survivor Series, when Rollins was seen ‘freaking out’ and trying to get at Punk following his return, which was used to begin the planned storyline between the two men.
Punk and Rollins were part of an unscripted war of words along with Drew McIntyre on this week’s Raw, which got a lot of praise from both those in the company and fans online.
In an update from Wade Keller of PWTorch, while Rollins had legitimate gripes with Punk, the two are said to be getting along backstage when planning out their segments for Raw.
Punk has continued to get all positive reviews from many sources in regards to how he is carrying himself backstage among colleagues and management.
