There are potential concerns surrounding the status of Roman Reigns vs Jacob Fatu at WWE Clash in Italy due to injury.
WWE held a live event on Thursday in Liverpool, England, three days ahead of Clash In Italy in Turin, where Fatu is set to challenge Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship and the title of Tribal Chief in a Tribal Combat match.
Fatu worked the Liverpool live event and scored the win over Solo Sikoa in a Street Fight match, but was seen limping to the back afterwards.
At the time, it was unclear whether Fatu was just selling or if he was actually injured.
PWInsider Elite reports that Fatu did get legitimately hurt during the match against Sikoa, so it wasn’t just a case of him selling.
However, there is no concrete word at this moment on whether the Clash In Italy match will be affected.
UPDATE: PWInsider notes there is “concern (Fatu) may not be cleared in time.”
WWE Still Promoting Roman Reigns Vs. Jacob Fatu Right Now
During today’s live SmackDown broadcast from Barcelona, Spain, WWE has been promoting the match as usual and has made no mention of it being affected by an injury to Fatu.
There was even a full-on minutes-long video package promoting the match, so it seems that the plan as of now is that it’ll still be going ahead, or at least WWE isn’t saying otherwise right now.
We’ll continue to keep you posted on whether there are any changes to the status of Roman Reigns vs Jacob Fatu ahead of WWE Clash In Italy on Sunday.
There are also some concerns surrounding the status of Sol Ruca vs Becky Lynch, as Lynch publicly stated on social media today that Ruca wasn’t cleared to compete.
The latest update was that Ruca was “banged up” after their short match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, but she is traveling to Italy for the rematch.
