Content Revealed For New Andre The Giant DVD

A new Andre The Giant DVD will be released in May, the central content of which will be the very well-received HBO documentary about Andre’s life and career that aired last year.

According to Wrestling DVD Network, the release will be a single-disc set running for approximately three hours. In addition to the feature content, there will also be seven bonus matches from Andre’s WWE spell which take place between 1978 and 1988.

The matches are:

Andre the Giant vs. Hulk Hogan
Showdown At Shea – August 9, 1980

Steel Cage Match – Andre the Giant vs. Big John Studd

Bodyslam Match – Andre the Giant vs. Big John Studd
WrestleMania – March 31, 1985

WWE vs. NFL Battle Royal
WrestleMania 2 – April , 1986

Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant
WrestleMania III – March 29, 1987

Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant
The Main Event – February 5, 1988

Those looking for fresh never-before-seen content will no doubt be disappointed. As you can see, there is nothing new or rare included in the match list but rather what WWE would consider to be Andre’s greatest hits.
