Corey Graves Reveals Vince McMahon Reaction To Backstage Joke About Sasha Banks/Naomi Situation

A WWE star is spilling the tea about the mood in the gorilla position and the reaction Vince McMahon had to their joke about the tense situation.

Corey Graves is revealing some fascinating behind-the-scenes details regarding the night of the now infamous walkout of Sasha Banks and Naomi, including a shocking response from Vince McMahon himself.

Sharing on the After the Bell podcast, Graves said:

“There was a few weeks back and you’ll know what I’m alluding to where things changed in a very drastic manner on Monday Night Raw. And I walked back through the curtain and walked up to our fearless leader and he had a grin on his face. [I said] ‘Hey it’s live TV, nothing could go wrong, right?’ And he just laughed and shook my hand and went about his business. And that’s it.”

Corey Graves and his new bride Carmella are both notably absent from the ring despite Graves having publicly discussed a potential return to the ring, Carmella’s absence is a little less clear.

After having lost their women’s tag team championships, Carmella and Queen Zelina fell away from screens with Zelina currently being out with injury and Carmella presumably taking a bit of time off for her wedding but then subsequently being absent from WWE television since.

Another former Women’s Champion who remains absent from WWE and thusly is undefeated in 2022 is Bayley.
