Current AEW Star Discusses Gimmick Pitch He Made To Triple H In WWE

Current AEW World Trios Champion Malakai Black has always taken a lot of time and thought in regards to his character work in his career.

From his time in NXT as Aleister Black to now, Black has added a lot of new layers to his character, as well as some pitches he made that never saw the light of day.

Speaking on the Undisputed podcast with Bobby Fish, Malakai detailed a character pitch he made to Triple H during his time in WWE regarding an idea he had about the Lucifer.

He explained:

“I’ve always been obsessed with that idea. So when I pitched the idea for Aleister to [Triple H], … I said, ‘The idea that I have is — what if Lucifier was cast out, and he fell down, and he woke up and he had no idea who he was. But he knew that he did something awful, but he couldn’t put his finger on it. He knew he did something so heinous, so bad, that no matter what he did he has this quiet urge to redeem himself, but he doesn’t know why.

“And that’s the conversation me and [Triple H] started having about the Aleister character.”

Malakai is currently an AEW World Trios Champion alongside House of Black stablemates Brody King and Buddy Matthews.
