Eddie Edwards Undergoes Appendicitis Surgery, Kenny Omega Match In Jeopardy

Former IMPACT World Champion Eddie Edwards has undergone appendicitis surgery putting a potential Kenny Omega match in doubt.

As reported by PWInsider, Edwards underwent the surgery on May 17. The recovery time for the surgery could be a month or longer – it varies a lot.

Edwards got the pinfall in a six-man tag team match against Kenny Omega, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows at IMPACT Under Siege, so it looked like he may have been set to be a future challenger for Omega’s title.

Omega’s next challenger will be Moose at Against All Odds on June 12 after the latter won a six-way #1 contender match at Under Siege.

We send our best wishes to Edwards and wish him a safe recovery.
