Finn Balor made his return to the NXT brand last year. Since then he has found great success in the ring, beating Matt Riddle and Johnny Gargano in consecutive Takeover events.
It is now being reported by Dave Meltzer that Balor is currently still making main roster money despite working on the developmental brand. It is quite a good situation to be in.
Considering NXT travels far less than the main roster, Balor will be able to rest his body more than if he was still on the main roster. The biggest trade-off is the lack of merchandise money. It is a decent trade, to be fair.
Balor is currently positioned as the top contender in NXT, meaning he could possibly challenge Adam Cole at NXT Takeover: Tampa.
