Former WWE Champion Describes Interactions With CM Punk Since His Return WWE

A former WWE Champion has described his interactions with CM Punk since his return at Survivor Series 2023.

At Survivor Series 2023, CM Punk made his return to WWE for the first time in nearly a decade in front of his hometown of Chicago.

Punk has seen a few familiar faces since his return with the likes of Drew McIntyre and Kofi Kingston having on-screen interactions with “The Second City Saint.”

One star who he previously worked with that hasn’t crossed paths with Punk is former two-time WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. Lashley and Punk were part of the infamous Extreme Elimination Chamber Match at December to Dismember 2006.

In a recent interview with Sportskeeda Wrestlebinge, Lashley discussed every interaction with Punk being positive since the two men met each other. He said:

“I know CM Punk, I don’t know him really well,”

“I always make my opinion on someone based on my interaction with them. Ever since I’ve known CM Punk, every time when I talk to him,”

“I’ve always had a positive conversation, everything like that. Nothing negative.”

“If he said something behind my back to someone else? I don’t know about it. I don’t go into those kinds of dramas. So, he’s back.”

CM Punk competed in his first televised match since his return in the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match. Ultimately, Punk made it to the final two where he came up short by last being eliminated by the winner, Cody Rhodes.
