Former WWE tag team partners are set for a match against each other as their previously friendly alliance has gone south.
Former tag team partners Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen may have been NXT UK Tag Team Champions together in the past, but recently, along with their third member Fallon Henley, they disbanded.
While things were initially friendly, last week saw Josh Briggs lay into Jensen delivering some ‘tough love’, and Jensen responded tonight (February 13).
As Jensen initiated a brawl backstage with his former partner, the two had to be pulled apart by others from the NXT locker room who were nearby as General Manager Ava had to try and restore order.
It was later confirmed that a singles match between Briggs and Jensen will take place on next week’s NXT.
Elsewhere set for next week’s pre-taped edition of WWE NXT (taping tonight), a match between Roxanne Perez and Wren Sinclair after the former punched the latter in the face in the locker room.
The reason Perez was in such a bad mood was that she felt she had been skipped over for a title shot at Lyra Valkyria.
That’s because next week in a crossover from a main roster star, Shotzi will return to NXT to take on Lyra Valkyria in an NXT Women’s Championship match.
Also, the North American Championship is on the line as Oba Femi looks to defend his title against Lexis King.
