Former WWE Star Calls Triple H A ‘Genius’ WWE

A former WWE star has called Triple H a “genius”.

CJ Perry, formerly known as Lana in WWE, signed with WWE in 2013 and spent several years with the company. Lana memorably managed her husband Rusev, now known as Miro in AEW.

After competing as an active in-ring competitor, Perry was released from the promotion in a wave of cuts in June 2021.

Just over a year later, Vince McMahon retired and Triple H became the head of WWE creative. Since then the company has experienced drastic changes and several former talents returning.

Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, CJ Perry shared her thoughts on the new WWE regime and working with Triple H.

In regards to working with The Game at the start of her time in WWE, she said:

“I think Triple H is a genius. He hired me. He was at my tryouts in the beginning of 2013. He paired me with Miro. He guided me so much in the approach of creating, essentially, the character of the Ravishing Russian with the suit, the hair.”

“He was really hands on with that, very hands on with Miro and I. So I will always be grateful for that because people still talk about the tank, still talk about the Ravishing Russia and her accent and her look. So I’m forever grateful for that.”

Perry continued on to discuss why she believes Triple H is a genius, saying:

“I think he’s brilliant. I think he is a genius storyteller and he understands how to entertain.”

“To give it all. To give what the hardcore fans want to really see, but also what the commercial fans what to see. The great matches, but also the relationship stories and the entertainment.”

Perry concluded by giving her thoughts on the new regime in WWE, saying:

“So it’s really cool. It’s really cool to see a lot of his projects and things he was hands on come to WWE now. I think it’s a great shift. It’s exciting. It’s an exciting time for wrestling,”

As recently reported, CJ Perry also commented on the AEW booking for Miro in a recent interview.

Miro hasn’t appeared in All Elite Wrestling since the All Out pay-per-view in September.

Meanwhile, his wife Perry will appear on the new season of Surreal Life, which airs on VH1 on Mondays at 8PM ET.
