Free Agent AEW Is Interested In Set To Return To MLW AEW/MLW

A former world champion and free agent AEW is interested in is now set to return to Major League Wrestling.

Earlier this year, former IMPACT World Champion Sami Callihan announced his departure from the promotion following the end of his contract.

In October 2023, Callihan was seen backstage at an AEW Collision TV taping in Memphis, Tennessee.

Various AEW stars such as Swerve Strickland and Jon Moxley have expressed their interest in seeing Callihan signed by the company.

On December 18, MLW announced that Sami Callihan is set to return to the promotion to face NJPW’s Satoshi Kojima on Saturday, January 6 at MLW Kings of Colosseum from Philadelphia. The post reads:

MLW today announced Sami Callihan vs. Satoshi Kojima at the @beINSPORTSUSA taping portion of MLW Kings of Colosseum Saturday, January 6 at #Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena.

@TheSamiCallihan returns to #MLW as a member of its 2024 roster on January 6th and he’s got a high-profile opponent standing across the ring for his highly anticipated return. 

In Callihan’s first singles match in an MLW ring in nearly 5 years, the Ohio native will fight one of MLW’s most beloved wrestlers of all time: Satoshi Kojima.

For the first time ever, Callihan and Kojima will clash and they’ll do it as a part of the beIN SPORTS TV taping portion of the event.

Kojima, fresh off of a spectacular return to MLW after 20 years, looks to continue his momentum as the first-ever World Heavyweight Champion’s 2024 campaign kicks off against the Callihan Death Machine.

Callihan, a ferocious and unrelenting fighter who can fight virtually any style has his own agenda. One that he vows to share at the right time and place.
