In the opening match of tonight’s AEW Collision, a nearly 60-minute clinic of captivating tag team wrestling as champs FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) defended against challengers Bullet Club Gold.
The match was 2/3 falls, a stipulation for which FTR have become known for putting on classics.
With the match tied at 1-1, it was FTR who retained their title as Dax Harwood submitted Juice Robinson to the Hart Family classic Sharpshooter and FTR scored the 2-1 win, much to the delight of the Calgary crowd.
Of course, the ode to the Harts was appropriate on a night where both the men’s and women’s Owen Hart tournament finals take place later in the show.
