Former WCW Heavyweight Champion Diamond Dallas Page appeared on the talkSPORT TalkWrestling show before night one of WrestleMania 36 over the weekend.
DDP spoke at length about the work ethic of new WWE Champion Drew McIntyre ahead of his showdown with Brock Lesnar in the main event of the Sunday portion of the show.
However, perhaps the most interesting part of the interview with DDP is that it emerged WWE is refusing to work with the Hall of Famer due to his ties with AEW.
The show’s host Alex McCarthy shared on Twitter that during the interview, it was revealed that WWE won’t work with DDP because he “helped out Cody”.
DDP tells #talkWRESTLING that WWE won't work with him at the moment because 'I helped out Cody'.
He says without Dusty Rhodes there is no DDP, so it was a no brainer for him.

Not only is DDP supposedly helping out backstage with AEW, but the wrestling legend even stepped into the ring for the promotion in a six-man tag team match earlier this year. This was his first match since WrestleMania 32 in 2016.
This comes after former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho said he has come to terms with the fact that WWE will probably never mention his name again due to his ties with AEW.
