WWE contracts have been the topic of a lot of discussion recently, and some financial details have now been provided on new deals.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the standard offer for “guys who haven’t made a name” for themselves yet are $250,000 per year.
Meltzer also noted that the deals are for three to five years, and “there isn’t the exceeding your downside because there are no house shows and PPV bonuses”.
This comes after it was revealed by Fightful Select that each member of RETRIBUTION (excluding Mustafa Ali) had been offered $250,000 per year for three years, so obviously those reports do appear to go along with each other.
This is obviously a lot lower than what the company had been offering talent a year or so ago, to prevent them from signing elsewhere, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In discussing the contracts, Meltzer noted that Ricochet is actually signed with WWE until 2024 because he signed a new deal when he was called up to the main roster.
