Perhaps WWE’s most talked about individual in recent weeks, Jinder Mahal has sent a message ahead of his World Heavyweight Championship match on Monday Night Raw (January 15).
With thanks to AEW President Tony Khan and his latest Twitter controversy, The Modern Day Maharaja has hit a boom in popularity unlike anything he has experienced in his tenured WWE career.
Now, with Mahal just a day away from his biggest match since 2017, the former WWE Champion has taken the opportunity to hype up the match; more specifically the post-match championship celebration.
Mahal tweeted:
The Punjabi Celebration is going to be LIT.
#AndNew #WorldHeavyWeightChampion
Amazingly, Mahal’s world title opportunity against Seth Rollins will be his first match on main roster programming since November 2022, where he was defeated by Braun Strowman in the WWE SmackDown World Cup first round.
This overall lack of activity and wins inside a WWE ring recently were the sticking point behind Tony Khan’s tweets on Tuesday, January 9.
The AEW President claiming a “double standard” regarding fans who were supposedly critical of his booking of HOOK as number one contender to Samoa Joe’s AEW World Championship.
This has led to both current and former WWE stars voicing there opinions on the matter, with Mahal himself also clearly capitalising on the increased attention.
