John Cena Addresses Big E WWE Retirement

17-time WWE Champion John Cena has sent a message to Big E, following the powerhouse announcing his retirement.

With Big E having not wrestled since suffering a serious neck injury in March 2022, the former WWE Champion recently confirmed in an interview that he now considers himself retired from pro-wrestling.

Big E later shared a heartfelt message on Twitter, thanking fans for supporting him and following his in-ring career.

John Cena has now taken to Twitter to respond to Big E’s post, sending his own thank-you message.

Cena wrote:

Thank you @WWEBigE for the moments and the memories. #Respect

Big E and John Cena are very familiar with one another, with Big E famously setting a bench press record at Cena’s gym, as was shown in footage included in the build to Cena vs The Rock at WrestleMania 29 in 2013.

Big E’s WWE main roster debut also involved John Cena, with the new star attacking The Champ on the December 17, 2012 edition of Raw.

The duo most recently shared the ring on the July 18, 2016 edition of Raw, with Cena, Big E, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, Big Cass and Enzo Amore defeating AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan in 12-man tag-team action.
