Karrion Kross: ‘Ratings Don’t Have To Be That Important To Me’

The Wednesday Night War has led to many fans shouting back and forth over which show has higher rating. More recently, emphasis has been place on the key demos by Chris Jericho who has dubbed himself the Demo God on AEW Dynamite. Now, Karrion Kross has had his say.

In a recent interview with Pro Wrestling Sheet, Kross said ratings and demos can be important to people who measure such things. He is simply interested in ensuring his segment is as entertaining as possible. Here is the quote:

“Not at all because they can be or do however they want. To me, those people are just as important as the people who don’t pay attention to it. Fans are fans. I don’t really categorize which fan is more important than the other, because that is an equation to go completely psychotic. There are people online that are in our industry that spend way too much time and energy on that type of stuff. Where my energy goes is trying to make sure that the time that I am given to be seen on television I get the most out of.”

“I know all of that stuff is important, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be THAT important to me. In the priorities of what’s important to me, making sure that my segments are as entertaining and sincere as possible is where all of my energy goes. I’ll hear about those things on the backend. There are people that have jobs in this company where it’s their occupation to be consumed and concerned with measuring those things. It’s not mine. So I just don’t allow my energy to go there. I save it for the fans.”

Kross is set to face Dominik Dijakovic on tonight’s edition of NXT.
