Keith Lee Won’t Let What Mogul Affiliates Did To Him Slide AEW

A friend of Keith Lee says the AEW star won’t let what Mogul Affiliates did to him slide.

At ROH Final Battle 2022, the final straw was broken in the partnership of Swerve In Our Glory when Swerve Strickland walked out on Keith Lee during a tag team bout against Shane Taylor Promotions. Despite this betrayal, Lee came out victorious against Shane Taylor and JD Griffey.

On the December 21 Holiday Bash edition of AEW Dynamite, Swerve Strickland introduced his new faction “Mogul Affiliates”, introducing Parker Boudreaux, Rick Ross and a mystery man who hasn’t been given a name yet.

Mogul Affiliates laid out Keith Lee with Swerve ending the attack with the Swerve Stomp off the top rope with Keith on the steel steps and a cinder block on top of him.

Speaking on Knockouts and 3 Counts, JD Griffey offered an update on Lee by noting that the AEW star hasn’t been back to the gym to work on his striking since the attack. He said:

“He hasn’t been at the gym striking yet. I know he’s back to lifting a little bit, but I haven’t seen him back at the gym striking yet, or he hasn’t been on the mats grappling yet.”

“But yeah listen, Swerve’s got it coming. You’ve seen Keith, he’s not gonna let that slide, especially when he’s given you ample chances to take the high road.”

“Shane’s been on the bad end of that, I’ve been on the bad of that. He’s the big bro for a reason. But it comes to a point to where this wasn’t about competition anymore with what Swerve did and Parker and they still haven’t identified this other guy. I call him Tat-a-tooie.”

Noting that he will have Keith Lee’s back against Mogul Affiliates, Griffey said:

“But it takes it to another level. That’s not about competition. You wanna go out and say you’re one of the best wrestlers in the country, Swerve, I’m with that.”

“Parker, you wanna feel like you’re one of the most underrated performers, I’m with that. Rick Ross, you wanna think you’re the biggest boss, you’re all of these things.”

“All of these guys who say these things about themselves in that equation, it’s all true. But you start trying to harm people physically… there’s competition, and then there’s busting a cinder block on somebody’s ribs. There’s levels to this shit.”

Griffey continued on to make it clear that he is just waiting on Lee and Shane Taylor before bringing the fight to Mogul Affiliates, saying:

“Swerve is all of those things, right. He’s having these great matchups with AR Fox and things of that nature. That’s the thing with AR Fox and Swerve.”

“When you watch Swerve perform, you’re like, ‘Damn, he’s really good. Why is he an asshole? Damn.’ But it’s like damn, you’re good wrestler, but when Keith yet back, you ain’t gonna live to become a great one. How unfortunate. I said all that to say, stay tuned. You never know. I’m ready to get busy. I’m ready to line it up and run it.”

Swerve Strickland has since picked up victories over Wheeler Yuta and AR Fox since introducing his new stable.
