A former WWE star has reflected on their first-hand experience working with LA Knight, telling a story that epitomises the dedication of the Mega Star.
Speaking in an interview with A2theK Wrestling Show, Ken Anderson (FKA Mr. Kennedy) discussed his time working alongside Knight in the NWA between 2019-2020, where he was competing under his pre-WWE name of Eli Drake.
Although Knight didn’t make it to WWE until the age of 38, shortly after his time with NWA ended, Anderson could tell that he was driven and determined to work harder than the average person.
The epitome of this dedication was told by Anderson during the interview, reflecting on a time where his wife had brought in food to an NWA taping for the talent to eat.
However, before Knight could accept the offer he had to do some calorie counting, something that showcased to Anderson the extra lengths he was willing to go to stay at the top of his game.
Anderson reflected while making a prediction for Knight’s future success:
“I remember one time my wife cooked up a bunch of food and brought it to a NWA taping.
“It was like chicken breasts and steaks and vegetables and some rice or something like that, right? She offered him like, ‘Would you like some chicken breasts.’
“And I remember seeing him do the math in his head, ‘Can I have these calories?’
“It was chicken breasts…. He was very, very strict on his diet, his intake and stuff and obviously it shows in his (physique), the way that he looks.
“He’s where he needs to be, and I think he’ll go further.”
Knight’s refusal to waver from his goals has seen him, eventually reach the top of WWE, with his current momentum seemingly leaving him destined for major success.
Not only is he reportedly listed internally as SmackDown’s number one babyface but he is also potentially due to be rewarded for his efforts with a brand new long-term deal and push.
In regards to this push even more information has now come out as to what we can expect WWE’s plans for Knight to be, click here to read on.
